Family Holiday safe zones

Goon, you ever done one of the camping parks in France?
My 7 and 4 year old loved it last year. You don't need to camp we had a Chalet!
You can also load up the car and drive.

I found the canaries a challenge to entertain the kids.

I'd try and get a cheap cruise and dump the kids in various play group things while I monged out :D

Avoid all muslim countriesq and you should be fine.

So avoid the cheap deals for Egypt and Turkey and you should be safe.

When we go we fly from our local airport to the canaries as its super easy, 40 min drive to airport, 2 hour flight, short transfer.

In b4 craptakular is a racist - No i don't want to be machine gunned on a beach or blown up at an airport. So I reduce risk and refuse to go these countries. Yes I went to some in the 90's....

Avoid going to Malaysia, uae, Jordan, Indonesia, maldives, Morocco.

All far too dangerous.

Lake district, Norfolk Broads, Cornwall, Harlyn Bay is particularly spectacular.

Somerset (Chedder Gorge (Britain's Grand Canyon!)), Wookey Hole, Ebbor Gorge (The "Long" walk would be beyond young children and any but the most agile of adults. It is a while since I was last there and given the current H&S nonsence I wouldn't be surprised if it is now closed off since you did have to climb a bit up slippery rocks and a fall could easilly result in serious injury or death)

I am genuinely puzzled, given that there is so much to do and see here in the UK that so many people seem to regard an essential part of a holiday as being going somewhere abroad, (Especially since 9/10 of the time. all they ever do is just stay in some sort of resort hotel complex)

If you fancy a change, how about the Boats. (Floating Caravan if you like) The Kids will love it!

For a family beach holiday you can't beat the Balearic islands IMO

Moderately pricey though especially with a few kids - quite a few of my relatives do it either yearly or every other year and seem to love it.

Its a bit more common these days to do those kind of things for half-term, etc. and have the main holiday abroad.

What a stupid post I just spent two weeks in morocco and it was great fun, if your going to live life in fear then your not going to have a good life.

Ok well if Rhyl is boring then I hear Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch is nice this time of year.

I prefer holidays abroad as you've a much better chance of the weather not being absolute gash.

Cyprus? Somewhere like Paphos, small but nice with few historical places right in town, ZOO not far out and pretty sure there's a big water park for the kids.
