Did Pewdiepie delete his youtube account? !! !

It's GD....

People either:

Like him
Hate him
Jealous
Think youtube is crap
Need to take the moral high ground regardless of topic
Troll because it's GD
so on..

You forgot all the 'Who-ers' regardless of whether they do or don't actually know who the person is :p

You missed one out, i will give an example:

I hate Pewdiepie because he is Swedish. He comes in here as a University dropout and earns millions. That high paying job could have gone to someone who deserves it such as a British person. At least he is white and Christian though.

probably already earned money before he moved here, loads of youtubers live in brighton apparently

50 million subscribers is insane. I've watched him on occasion but some kids must be hooked.

2 million views is worth 6 grand, not bad ? That is a lot of people though, like some nations are smaller then that. But tons of those people were probably afk getting a drink while the video came with autoplay, its all a bit of a scam by google to sell advertising.

He did but facts wont get in peoples way when they want to be jealous of someone young and successful enjoying what he does.

He lived in Sweden and for the first year or two had no money and worked as a guy selling hot-dogs on the street for a bit of extra cash as a kid. When he earned enough to drop out of university, he decided to live in Italy with his youtuber girlfriend who he had met online. After a few years, they moved here.

Good for him for doing as well as he has.

Ok.... so... it's per 1000 views, of ANY content, right? Like, if you post only some sort of edits of funny cats or news clips and they get 1,000,000 views that still counts?

Income varies slightly with content as it hits different viewer demographics and some people are obviously worth more to some companies over others. Funny cat clips and stuff like that has a vary varied viewer base and is likely determined to be less useful to the average company.

Obviously game companies would much prefer to target a audience watching pewdiepie over an audience that watches cat videos. Beer advert and shaver adverts seem to come up more for videos that show football highlights.

Though obviously if you have a lot of views, your content is worth something regardless of the demographics that watch it. It is why Clickbait videos have boomed online and one of the points being made by many of the youtubers protesting the changes to youtube, as it supposedly favours viral clickbait content and there for captures more views overall.
