Well, more like my partner got a PS4 as a gift from her company. We'll probably sell it and upgrade to a pro.

It comes with Uncharted 4, Last of Us remastered and Drive...

I'm thinking of getting God of War 3 remastered, Final Fantasy XV and obviously, Bloodbourne :D

I'm a PC gamer, as is my partner, but what exclusives would you guys suggest?

We enjoy RPG's, not really into console shooters as aiming with a controller is cack handed imo. Love story driven games and I'm a sucker for JRPG's.

Thanks

Witcher 3.

Already sunk 100+ hours into it on the PC. If anyone is wondering, I'm running a 980ti at 1440p, so any multi platform games, I'll 95% likely get it on the PC for better graphics and higher FPS.

Re. Final Fantasy XV - i'm enjoying it, but it's very different from previous games in the series and your usual jrpg. As in it probably shouldn't be called Final Fantasy at all! Fast realtime action, big open world, not really much in the way of epic story. More like the Witcher (and not as good) with a bit of Shenmue thrown in. Not trying to put you off, it's decent enough and nicely chilled, just be aware.

Bloodborne is a must, but seems you know that already :) Check out The Last Guardian. I haven't played it yet - will be my Christmas game - but if it's half the game Ico and Shadow of the Colossus were, it'll be great.

The last of us, if you haven't played it, is brilliant so i'd stick that at the top of the to play list!

As for other games you could get, there is Bloodborne (if you like dark souls) and Final Fantasy XV. They are the only exclusives that spring to mind that I might actually by a PS4 for.

I've done the same recently:)

I think you've got the big guns covered but you should take a look at Journey (short but great), Infamous: Second Son, Bloodborne and the Uncharted collection.

Also take a look at the Yakuza franchise, it's a great mix of an rpg and a fighting game with a very decent story and loads of side content (some of it properly hilarious). Feels really old-school. I think you'll love the brawling and heat actions, they're brutal and very satisfying;p Yakuza 0 is coming out in Europe/US at the end of January, it's a great place to start for newcomers.

MO, it's unmissable if you own a PS4 but a lot less popular than mainstream games so I thought I'd recommend it.

EDIT: However, The Last of Us is the best game in the world, so you know where to start:D The story and character creation leaves everything else in the dust.

I think 2 and 3 hold up fine. They are basically all the same aside form the first. Probably why I got bored of 3 and never finished it.

You already have most of the must have exclusives or are planning to get them, perhaps the Uncharted collection?

You're in for a treat with TLOU though, my word, what a game.

There is a lot to be said for coming late to a console party. I picked up my PS4 during the sales on the older style one.
There are just so many good games to play and as they aren't all "new releases" available at a great price too.

Playing the first did feel like a little bit of a chore at times, but I think it's important to play through to really appreciate the advances they made in 2, and 3 as well as the character building and story. It's not a bad game by any stretch and it's not particularly long.

Especially for the twist later on. The church was intense fights on crushing and brutal.
