They want the restoration of the lost caliphate. Any non Muslim is an infidel and under a fundamentalist interpretation of the Quran all infidels should be killed or converted. ISIS are psychopaths, I've seen videos online of them murdering people and the cruelty and barbarity is stomach churning. The Nazis were bad but ISIS are much worse. They've taken evil to a whole new level. Scum.
They're the literal word of God. Certainly couldn't do that!
And that's the problem. To be a true muslin you take it as the true word and it cannot be denied. If you do pick and choose you're denying gods word...so why bother to believe at all?

Again, ISIS alone number in the tens of thousands. Or at least did. I believe I once ran totals on here of the various terrorist groups such as boko harem, Al qaeda, etc. And the numbers came to hundreds of thousands.

Muslims currently murder ~30,000 people a year as part of a sustained global campaign to destroy civilisation and impose Islam on everyone in the world through fear and death (as well as politics, which is probably more effective overall but the two methods affect each other).
There is no such Christian campaign. Christianity results in a few Christians who murder a few people, but there's nothing organised. It's not a large scale threat. Unlike Islam.
Your comparison fails. You may as well compare norovirus with ebola. After all, they're both viruses and they both kill people, so that makes them "comparable".

You realise that as a percentage of Muslims worldwide, even 160,000 would only be 0.01%
When there are so many bad apples, there is something wrong with the orchard.

Put it another way; 75% of all terrorism related deaths last year were by just 4 organisations
ISIS
Al qaeda
Taliban
Boko harem
Tell me.. what have those 4 got in common?

Exactly, and this lack of differentiation is why I find so many peoples opinions on this site abhorrent. Just because someone "follows" the same ideology doesn't mean they are remotely the same, hence my comment earlier about the "right".
1) Members of IS wouldn't regard those Muslims as their brothers and sisters. They'd be more likely to see them as heretics, i.e. even worse than unbelievers.
2) IS et alia benefit from Muslims suffering because that's extremely useful for recruitment.
That would account for maybe two of the groups...keep going
