**The Official Everything MMA Related Thread**

Yeah, I followed various tweets last night - seems there was an awful lot of miscommunication between the various parties in a very short space of time!

No replacement either by the looks of it so the card will go ahead with one less fight! (JDS and Struve apparently offered to step in but it didn't happen!)

i hope RR loses, ive gone right off her

Expect Rousey to shoot immediately, the question is can Nunes keep her off her? If she can, Rousey is in serious trouble. I hope Nunes lights her up, can't stand Rousey.

In other news, Barnett in getting flagged for doping shocker.

Personally I'm hoping we'll see that awesome armbar again :D

The fight I want to see most is Cruz vs no love - can Cruz stay away from that power for 25 mins? Same for TJ vs Lineker.

Should be some interesting fights.

What is surprising is he was tested 14 times in 2016 and was only popped on one. Curious to see if they challenge it, what drug it is etc.

Put a few bets on so would be chuffed to see Rousey take the win - I think as long as she doesn't get sucked in to chasing Nunes like she did against Holm, she should take the win!

I can see Cruz - Garbrandt going the same way as Dillashaw - Barao, a technical clinic, with Cruz' own style of course.

Cruz is firmly in Garbrandts head, check out the interview on youtube "UFC 207: Cody Garbrandt Heated Exchange with Dominick Cruz".

I feel so depressed that Cain isn't fighting. I feel bad for him. I read an interesting article from one of the fighters managers online that shed more light on the matter and I didn't realise all the politics that's going on. If only he hadn't of spoken to the press about his injuries he could have been fighting Werdum this weekend and then had a chance to go for the title.

It really sucks as a fan of mma/ufc that the last few years we've hardly been able to see the top two fighters in the world fight, Cain and Jones, I really hope Cain can come back from this, he's not getting any younger. His last win was incredible and I truly think he's had the worst luck ever! We should be seeing this amazing heavyweight fighter fight at least three times per year, and Jones as well. Instead we're lucky if we get to see them both fight once every 2 years.

I love watching Connor and Rousey fight but the other superstars of the UFC need to get their act together. And Cain needs to seriously change his training style so not to get injured. His camp argue that it's his training style that makes him the best in the world but what's the point being the best if nobody gets to see you fight?:(

Do any of you feel the same way as me regarding these two fighters? They're both always out for different reasons, but it's a real shame we don't get to see them fight more? Also compared to last year more recently the fight cards seem to be going down hill, I really had high hopes for 207 and if 208 and 209 are just as lackluster then I really think Dana White is in trouble! They need a solid 2017 to redeem themselves. Maybe they'll have to give Connor whatever he wants to come back early! Imagine if we saw 4 fights from Connor in 2017? But doubt it's going to happen.

AKA are renowned for their fighters dropping out of fights, so it's not just Cain.

How many times has Cormier dropped out, or Rockhold? All 3 of them have dropped out in the last couple of months. The whole camp needs to look at their training regime.

I see Hendricks missed weight again, 173.5. No doubt it'll be someone else's fault, most probably the fans.

WTF is going on with Hendricks, has he missed weight consecutively like gastalum did?

Wonder if the UFC will force him to take a fight at 185?

Amazing that Rousey gets away with doing no media after all the fuss the UFC kicked up when McGregor wanted to take a step back from it.

They had an interview a while back with Cormier and he said that the guys at AKA go really hard in training camp pretty much all the way up to a fight, but that for him there was no alternative. He said that he took it a bit easier in the lead-up to the fight he was supposed to have against Jones (where he ended up fighting Anderson) and felt sluggish during the fight.

As I understand it, most other camps avoid any intensive sparring or cardio work in the two weeks prior to the fight, the argument being that they should have got their fitness and sharpness sorted prior to that.

Hendricks hasn't been the same since USADA started drug testing - read into that what you will :P

I remember watching an interview with Cormier just before he pulled out of 206, he said AKA have changed the way they train to try and prevent the injuries however it's a bit late as I doubt Cain will be able to keep healthy enough to go on another title run :(
