Do men like to buy things as much as Women ?

My wife is the biggest sucker for marketing. We have a cleaning cupboard with a million different products and if a company released a product tomorrow which can "clean the feet of your table" she'd buy it and use it. I'm far too cynical and take 99% of marketing as the nonsense it is.
 
Shopping therapy? Meh. It depends, if you're depressed, 'alpha' or poor (ironically) you're more likely to go on a splurge for a quick mood boost. I bet half of the MM are bargain addicts. :p

Having said that, I do enjoy getting something I've been after for a while, like a rare item, book, game, whatever.

I like to buy food and drink as much as my GF we try to eat "posh" once a day....The other times, from the dustbins....
 
I love to buy things, i'm a man, but i dont just buy stuff on a whim, and what i buy gets used as much as possible.
 
No. Well, not as often. I buy things on a whim sometimes mainly because I'm fed up. They've included everything from expensive jackets and learning to snowboard etc and buying all the gear etc to buying a Porsche 911 lol.

I'm by no way rich and I am anticipating that all this will come to bite me in the *** soon. Hence I'm getting the Porsche done up and sold ready for summer so it's perfect for the next owner.
