Dead Rising 4 - Possibly Leaked

I'm enjoying it, the lack of timer does indeed take an 'edge' way from the game, but on the other hand it means you can explore the world at your own leisure.

It's a good game, some of the weapons and vehicle combinations are great fun. Runs superbly as well, although i've seen some weird glitches like zombies clipping, zombies running around with no body etc. They're amusing rather than game breakers though, obviously.

Just to note, this is £23 at Tesco.

Was going to buy but ended up regrabbing GTA and Skyrim instead. Will grab this next most likely.

Been playing this since Christmas, anyone find the fact that survivors are random NPCs rather than particular persons a bit poor?

Also, the game seems a little too easy? Any combo weapon pretty much kills everyone in one?

Not too bothered that they removed the timer mind you, and I'm glad team killing isn't on when rescuing survivors! Some pretty good combo weapons to be made too, my favourite is the light sabre but I haven't found the blueprint for that one yet..

This game is absolutely rubbish compared to the previous DR games.

I cannot believe the lack of:

Timer
Psychopath boss fights
Annoying side quest survivors

Its fun to kill zombies for a while but other than that the story feels pretty rubbish (I am upto case 2). The game is also a little bit too easy.

Oh crapcom what have you done to Dead Rising. You had a working formula and one job, one job! and you ****ed it up! Most probably all for sales aimed at the 'alienated' gamers who found DR too hard :(.

So glad they released the DR: Remasters.

This game is great!

As above.

After completing the game last night my original post still stands for me, but purely on the hilarity aspect, the game is fun to just smash zombies to pieces and play in the sandbox they've created, but this is not my Dead Rising at all.

I completed it last night and can now fully see the frustration of the ending being DLC (this is rubbish).

As an avid lover of the series (I bought the triple pack towards the end of my playthrough because it was on sale) I have to say I am most disappointed with almost every aspect of the game.

As the post above says:

No timer - there is literally no sense of urgency to the game at all, it's do what you want at your own pace and to hell with everything else, you don't feel part of an outbreak like the first and second (and OTR) games at all, you are just there to do fun stuff.

No psychopaths - the maniacs are not the same at all, they are just NPC's with a little more health and a special weapon, truly forgettable.

Survivors - Oh my lord they took another tradition of the series and royally screwed it up, I have no idea how you go from the amazing escort missions of the first games to this.....again truly terrible.

Don't get me wrong, I had a blast along the way, but the game literally gives you nothing, no sense of accomplishment or anything when you complete it, it's totally bereft of any soul and is just AN Other open world action game at this point.

I also have no idea who these 'fan's are that the creators declare they spoke to, because they clearly aren't 'fans' at all.

At least I have all the original games to play and master.

These videos sum everything up for me....: (

Game is definitely too easy, I didn't die once when playing through.

I wish they'd do DR 1/2 on backwards compatibility. DR4 vs 1 is a joke. I'm glad I didn't buy it now. (video above)

I agree with the recent comments above. I loved Dead Rising 1 & 2. 3 was decent too.

I bought DR 4 just after Xmas. I was wanting to play it, but not at £40+, so when I saw it for £23 new, delivered I bought it.

I finished it in 2 or 3 days, started to play through again getting the combo plans, newspapers etc and doing a bit of exploring, but just gave up after a few hours as I just got bored. They ruined it, almost completely. It just feels too different, and it's not challenging enough without the constraints of the old games.

I went back to playing Skyrim (SE), which is one of the greatest game ever made.
