Liz Smith, aged 95, who played Letitia in Vicar Of Dibley and Nana in the Royle Family has died.

Not exactly tragic this one, no one can argue with 95, but still, very funny lady, RIP.

It would be interesting to see the statistics on celebrity deaths this year compared to previous years to see if there has been a rapid increase. Certainly feels more this year than I can remember previously.

I was never a fan of this show so don't really know her. RIP nevertheless. But it seems to be a competition in the closing days of 2016 to see who can be the last to go

Oddly enough there is a wiki page to celebrity deaths. Although it has got 'notable' deaths who aren't celebrities. There's a fair whack on last year as well as this so from what i can see the need to put 'stop it / **** you 2016' is quite needless.

With the increase in 'celebrities' due to reality tv programs I'm sure we'll all be respectful when the grim reaper comes for Joey Essex, Honey G, and the cast of Made in Chelsea
