Is there a service that will buy an item on your behalf and ship to you? (from SWE to UK)

There's an item on sale on a Swedish website, but they only deliver to Sweden. Is there a service out there that will buy it on your behalf and forward it onto you?

Cheers.

You can use a postal forwarding service, I Googled and found a few in Sweden. Eg: http://poststugan.se/en/

I've used similar services to get mail to me from the USA.

You set up an account with them and they give you an address and usually a box number, then you buy the product and have it shipped to that address, and the forwarding company then post it to your address.

Me? sarcastic ? Never!!!

If you pay all the shipping etc I'll help. Just tell me what where etc.
Shipping here can get pricey though so take that I to account.
Time for bed for me but I'll read this in the morning.

Awesome.

It's from a site called elgiganten, if that's familiar to you. It costs 1111 KR. Product Dimensions: 19 x 11 x 23 cm ; Boxed-product Weight: 921 g.

Do you know how much that would be? If it's too expensive, then I'll pass, but thanks a lot for helping!

putting details into parcel monkey sweden to the uk with a 1 kilo wight shows roughly £19.

not sure if sweden's own postal service would be cheaper but gives you a rough figure. thats with dhl

Yeah shouldn't be more than 20 quid if posted using postnord. Couriers though....
What's your postcode pm me all the details I'll try the costs.
Regular post should be ok too I used them, no complaints.

I'll go in the post office and ask after work..
Courier will be way over 20 quid I'm certain I live right on the north.. I'll check though

If it helps I have decent discount with FedEx for collections from Sweden - as long as Efour isn't in a remote area, can get it picked up and delivered for a bit under £20 (assuming the dimensions and weight given are correct!)

Yes, it's called a concierge service. Do you not have one?

Post office is only 30s walk though

This isn't helpful to anyone in any way, but i'm just curious - that's an oddly specific discount to have?

Yes

There are a few start-ups who are offering people that travel the chance to earn some money by being a courier

https://www.nimber.com/ for example

https://www.sheaply.com/ is another option (and probably the best for your situation, if you can find someone that's travelling around Sweden atm)

That Nimber seems like a good idea. I've 1KG of errm sherbert that I need delivering. This seems like a less risky way. Cheers.
