Always interesting to see where people stand on the political scale

https://www.politicalcompass.org/test

I'll start off with my result, as you can see my views are not represented by any political party and there is no one worth voting for lol.

It's a been a while since I last saw this test pop up and I've only strayed marginally in all the years I tried it. For a nasty Brexiteer to be placed in the same neck of the woods as Gandhi, does make me chuckle. :D

Quite surprised seeing as I'm pro brexit and stricter immigration controls.

Why does it have labour as right wing?

I think the left/right part is about economic attitudes, whereas the up/down axis is more about how likely you are to beat up someone who disagrees with you. :D

Surely they are left wing?

no and haven't been for a while(until corbyn, so when its updated for 2020 if corbyn is still there they will move left). right wing or more right wing has been the choice. which is why corbyn will fail, he wants labour to go back to left wing, but public just inst interested.

it is based on the manifestos, if you go to the sight you can see how the parties have changed over the years.

and as usual almost bang on with green, and in a perfect world then yeah, but this isn't a perfect world and those policies aren't possible at least not anytime soon. so in reality slightly right wing and very liberal, which of course matches up with no party. LD being the closest.

Chart is strange, it has me bottom left. I do not for a moment think that is where I should be.
I am relatively right wing, and rather authoritarian in my views, but on those questions there must be considerable swing in the slight/large option.

Pretty much same as you (slightly lower) and I'm against Brexit and have no problem with immigration. Though there should be restrictions on benefits to start with.

We've done this before on OcUK a year or 2 back, but here's my result this time (similar to last time). Liberal left.

- Life-long Lib Dem voter here, so this fits.
- Voted remain.
- Trump vs Clinton... I would have spoiled my vote
