i'm single with no kids. i picked 320d over 120d cos i found the 1 series really cramped.
you got 2 kids......forget 1 series.
My daughter is 6 months old so space shouldn't be an issue.
Totally off topic but
Nice.
Doesn't the 116i remap incredibly well?
200bhp well?
Plus the 118 has better brakes to cope with the extra performance.
136hp to 200hp with no physical upgrades. No wonder so many remapped diesels go bang![]()
Pretty sure you're not percentagising* the gain correctly. Surely it is as a percentage of the original power (50%ish) rather than the final power?Because a 30% power gain = catastrophic failure right.

However, I agree, there are plenty of cars out there with that sort of power from a 1.6T and it shouldn't be a major drama. Furthermore, AC Schnitzer offer a warranty that covers the parts that BMW will exclude due to the upgrade. The brakes are also a red herring, more power doesn't make a car harder to stop, driving at higher speeds does...
*a new word, I'm claiming it
