PASSENGERS - Official Trailer

I quite enjoyed it but it was very average and a bit meh but still ok and quite watchable in the same vein.

Over hyped and could have been so much better but could have been much worse. 5/10 to 7/10

Those of you who've seen it.

How do you rate it out of ten and how about The Martian and Interstellar also?

Thought the first half was rather sad and depressing, but I've felt that about a lot of space movies with that theme.

Just came back from it.

It's quite enjoyable and makes one really appreciate what a great actress JL is. I can picture some of the scenes just wouldn't work with most other people.

If they have a spare for EVERYTHING....where is the spare Autodoc?

just came back and thought it was excellent.

simple story well executed. connects very well on an emotional level

solid 9/10 from me

That occurred to me also though ...

..even without spares, are they really saying there is only 1 Autodoc for 5000+ passengers and crew on board.

Overall an average but enjoyable if you don't think about it too much sci fi film. 6/10.

Yeah utterly forgettable.
I love Chris Prat and Jenifer Lawrence though.

Its just a predictable very far-fetched, even for scifi, space film.

So many contradictions and holes.

5/10

I enjoyed it for what it is but it is also utterly forgettable. There are lots of good concepts and ethnical questions they could have gone down and explore but it was cut off before it went any deeper and what we are left with is a pretty movie with not much substance.

Question to those that have seen it and the trailer.
In the trailer it ends on a rather suspenseful note with Chriss pratt saying something like "What if i told you we were woken up for a reason!" or Words to that affect, then it Cuts to Lawrence Fishburns charcter in his Blue crew uniform and a few other crew dudes behind an opening door.

Now what on Earth happened to this film, was it butchered by reshoots again like Rogue one was. i get the distinct vibe that there was a lot more to this film than we got in the the final cut. More peril another big story, butchered out to give us this crappy broken Engine-reactor one. Which TBH was rather BS

Ive not read the book obviously but something just doesnt feel right at all. :D

Cant find my questionmark key but i hope you can understand well enough \????? there it is ? Shift+ Stupid Swedish Keyboards

I think it was more they didn't want to show in the trailer that it was actually Pratts character that woke up Jennifers character. As this was supposed to be the big moral question around the movie. Then it was all forgotten and forgiven by the end...

Saw this today, I actually really liked the film despite all the plot holes and flaws but the one thing that really irritated me was
when the mavity cut out and JL couldn't swim out from the sphere of water as if a lack of mavity suddenly meant that the laws of physics no longer existed, sorry but she would absolutely have been able to propel herself out, that's not to mention that instant breaking effect of the power going out causing the ship to stop spinning, I could go on but I wont lol...

Just seen this - does feel like there was a much bigger story that got cut out the second half.

Also second half has so many holes including the spares lol. Wonder what the reply back from earth was as well heh.

Good film but could have been so much better. Lawrence is obviously smoking hot in it and Pratt is very engaging.

Michael Sheen's android was a good character, though...
he seemed somehow sinister so I thought he would somehow be connected to the ship's failing systems, despite the fact that they show us the meteor impacts at the start.

I thought they had opportunities to take it in more interesting directions, and I also thought the ending was just a bit rubbish and an anticlimax.

Overall though, an enjoyable and beautifully shot film that I'd give 7/10.

To the poster asking about relative scores for The Martian and Interstellar, I'd give them 8.5 and 9.5 respectively. I absolutely love Interstellar though, it's one of my all time favourites so my score may not be entirely objective!

Anyone else notice the fly when Jim is sitting on his bed...? :D :D :D
