lol

This is no "Funny Prank". I have spoken to the "customer" in the past and there is something off about him. Maybe it is his extreme low intelligence but he is constantly infecting his PC with malware. I am wondering what he is searching for and clicking on to get infected so often.

Seems you might have found out. :l

Technically you shouldn't be looking at his stuff and as such that can't really be used as evidence, however report that to the police. tell them what you've found and they can do the rest from there legally

Oh well in that case police. Nothing to do with his intelligence just the fact he is always getting malware would suggest dodgy sites...

I would have a look at where the link goes. It could, just may be, be a mate mucking about and putting that on his PC but pointing to something innocent as a gag. Then police.

While probably unlikely OP could potentially incriminate himself, destroy or distort evidence of wrongdoing, etc. best thing is to do nothing but call the police for advice.

While I highly suspect it is an inappropriate joke you never know.

So what. That doesn't make it right does it.

There was a famous study ("Porn Up, Rape Down") which is pretty self-explanatory from the title...the lower the availability of pornography, the higher the incidence of rape (This was in the USA I believe). Except in this case we are talking about child rape.

Is more child rape what you really want?

Dont mess about report it to the police, peope even stupid people dont make links like for ni reason, let the ploice decide what he has done wrong, as others have stated if your company doesnt have rules and guidlines abdout this they need to get some.

Just report it. Better safe than sorry, it could just be hit mates playing silly buggers.

I worked in a Girl's school for a few years and we hired a new guy as my co-worker, he looked like the real life version of Brains from Thunderbirds. Anyway, long story short whilst I was showing him around the school he asks me out of the blue "Are there any sexy girls here then?" I thought he was joking and just laughed it off and then he said "Whats wrong? You can look but can't touch!". At that stage I had to report him to my line manager. He didn't even survive the first week.

Dunno what you're waiting for then.

If he has no redeeming qualities then you can drop him in it with a clean conscience.

Call non emergency police number and talk to someone.

could the malware have put the link there?

The problem is of course, people will "go out there" and film child abuse, and upload / sell those pictures.

Its entirely possible - wouldn't surprise me either if the machine was full of malware it was compromised and used by someone else into that kind of stuff so as not to leave evidence on their own system :S
