when working the predator line of liquid coolers are very good at what they do, cool.
Having got both a 360 for CPU and a 280 for GPU I can say they are not without issue's of leaks. which should not be happening with an AOI costing this much.
so far the 360 on the CPU has been trouble free, but the 280 for GPU has developed 2 leaks so far, the first being the pump outlet pipe with hair line cracks to where the fitting screws in, just not enough material around where the fitting screws in and hair line cracks form because of this.
2nd leak was from the res side fitting from the O ring on the back of the fitting, when screwed into the res after some 3 weeks it developed a weap from said O ring.
So again after removing the rad ect from case and seeing what is going on, it appears that the tension on the fitting matters to the O ring seal sealing to res body. if you screw the fitting in finger tight it will seal, but that always feels like its to lose, if you nip the fitting just a quarter of a turn it will weap as the wall of the res flex's and distorts the surface the seal tightens to, and weaps more the tighter you go. could be bad O ring seals I replaced both sides with bitspower fittings and no leaks.
from what I have read over the internet it seems these units are prone to leaks and I havnt experienced the CPU block leak as yet.
EK support seemed good when I contacted them about the pump outlet leaking on the first leak and offered a return, but I asked if they would send the part so I can repair myself, which they said they would do. hasn't arrived yet though.
But I have to say after many reports of this leaking and seems it can happen anytime I have lost faith in the predator AIO system's the concept is good but for the price you expect no leaks and defiantly no cracks to pump outlets and flexy res side walls. now I feel I have to check daily before switching on my PC to make sure its not sprung another leak.
And looking at the box for the predator 280 it says revision 1 and I only purchased in November from OCUK, I thought all the revision 1's were supposed to of been recalled and dealt with by EK.
So as of today I have decided to do my own cooling loop as I used to do. I just don't want to be checking every day to see if another leak has developed.
