Laptops stolen from CES2017

I find it funny people don't get the point of these - though I guess you need a fairly specific lifestyle for it to be an advantage.

I wouldn't think you'd be able to get far with it, to be honest.

Heavy enough and with the number of security camera's around.... I guess it could be someone looking to sell it to a competitor though.

I wouldn't mind one. Very cool.

Although the last thing i would be doing is gaming... more stocks and work

Yeah pretty handy to dump it down, open up, when you get to your destination (hotel, b&b or whatever) and have a decent setup that was far easier to move around than a proper PC, etc. never mind 3 physical screens.

Not quite sure what the benefit of this will be to the thief unless they were working for a competitor or something to find out about the tech thats in them and how they are constructed!?

Not exactly like they are going to be able to easily pass them or sell them anywhere without it raising suspicion!

When I've been to expos and have held new stuff in my hands, I must admit, the temptation to do a runner is always strong! :D

Seriously though surely cctv has picked up the thief and from there they can match the person and check what time that person entered the show, shouldn't be too hard?

I wouldn't have thought something like that would be hard enough to work out that you'd have to steal it.

It'll be on eBay in a few hours.

I was at the CES 2016.... There's so many people there, from all over the world, its not going to be as easy as you think to pick out someone, from any surveillance footage. Even if they do, chances are that they'll be foreign, and probably already on their way home to Asia.

Were it me, I'd be playing on one and giving the other to my friend!!

I smell publicity stunt.
A backfiring one, if so, as Razer just look careless and inattentive.
However many other things they may have had on their stall, a mega product like that and they can't keep a close enough eye on it??!!
Numpties in the extreme!!

I honestly think this is a stunt by Razer to capture an audience.

Could be wrong though.

Did wonder about that but if it came to light they'd almost certainly be banned from future CES and potentially other tradeshows, etc. which would be more costly to them none the less the potential for wasting law enforcement time which wouldn't go down well. If it is someone's idea of a PR stunt they are probably going to end up in hot water.
