Depends, I use FanXpert as apposed to using the UEFI. No problems here. Also if you want to adjust the lighting you'll need Aura. Some versions can cause fairly erratic DPC latency so watch out for that, though

my lights seem to come on when the pc if off, unless i turn off the mains, is that normal or did i wire something wrong

I think that's by design, my Formula VIII does the same.

I am liking it so far. Not played around with the BIOS yet. How fast are you getting boot times and any tips for BIOS settings ?

30 seconds , That's a cold boot from pressing the power on

it's also running at 5Ghz, using most of the settings on 8-pack's forum post.

some tips.

boot menu<enable fast boot
boot menu<boot logo display <disabled
Boot menu<post report<1 sec
Boot menu<above 4g decoding<enabled.

I'm not saying this is the best settings, I'm sure someone will put me right if I'm wrong but these are what i'm using.

Thinking of this board too or possibly the code. What does the extra 60 quid for the code get you besides wifi, bluetooth and armor.

that's it tbh. i was in same boat as you, for me i did not need wifi or bt, but did like the amour on the code. then the issue was shall i go £40 more and get the formula with the amror on the rear and the IO shield built in....

for those that want to improve boot up speeds

Go to memory timing option and scroll all the way in the bottom and enable MRC Fastboot.
