I am after a cheap but reliable fountain pen. £15 max. Yes, £15. I dont want to spend more only to never use the pen ever again.

I want a good reliable one. I can then move on and get others in the future.

I am starting a journal so want to steer away from a ball point. Paper in the journal is perfect for a fountain pen.

Any advice would be great. Ta

Lamy Safari... Great pen, comes in a selection of nib sizes (I like extra fine) loads of colours.

Spend a few more pounds and you can have the Al-Star :)

Pffft, no sense of style. A Pheonix feather quill dipped in the blood of my fallen enemies/victims/dinner gravy is the only way to record my (lack of) wisdom for future bemusement.

Or the Lamy Safari that I bought for my daughter was okay, I prefer Parker for nice budget pens.

Takes me back to collecting parker pens in school. I'm sure I'm not the only one who did this. Flicking ink everywhere lol

I can't write for crap these days. I blame keyboards

Our poor old teacher at school had a black ink line down back of his jacket - every time he walked past anyone's desk he got the flick :D

We had desks with inkwells in and stick with a nib on end. :D
