Hi

I've just fitted a couple of LED battens in our house and been really impressed with the light from them for general use, however I do model painting and for that warm white isn't ideal, and as I want to improve the lighting in my den I was wondering if anyone knows of any LED battens that use daylight LED's (around 6500k)?

I know you can get daylight LED's as I've got a couple of desk lamps that use them, but I can't find a batten type fitting with them.

So I was wondering if anyone knows of an LED batten about 4-6 foot in length that uses daylight LED's?

Cheers :)

If it is for painting be careful what you get. Apart from the colour temp you need to look at Colour Rendering Index CRI - which defines how accurately they show colours.

Ooh that looks like the sort of thing:)

As we've got to replace the fitting anyway I was thinking of the batten style like this one (I put one up in the spare room but at 600-6500k) but a slot in replacement tube for a standard fitting works just as well :)
Possibly better as I've got a bunch of tubes in the garage that could do with replacing.

I'll have to look into that:)

Aye I should have said batten style, although bare tube to fit into a standard batten is just as good (probably better as you don't have to replace the whole fitting if the light dies).

That tube looks pretty much ideal, and cheap enough I can take a punt on one for the garage spray area before changing the fitting in my pit :)

I'm useless at doing google searches for these sort of things, I need to improve my google fu.
