**The Official Everything MMA Related Thread**

Hey guys, this is quite a disappointing read.

https://www.quora.com/Would-Bruce-Lee-at-his-peak-be-able-to-contend-with-todays-top-MMA-fighters

It spoils my fantasy thoughts that Bruce Lee would annihilate anyone inside the Octagon. It spoils my thoughts that Bruce Lee was a god, ahead of his time with extreme skills even from the 1970s that would still put away the best fighters of the modern era with just an inch punch!

According to most, Bruce Lee wouldn't do well against the modern day MMA fighters because his skills would be outdated and fighting has moved on.

Bruce's best weapon was his mind, he was keen to learn new things and second guessed many common approaches at the time (including his own)

What Bas says in the video pretty much sums it up, give him time and he'll pick things up very fast.

He'd be a top 5 contender and he'd be great to watch I think but I doubt he'd win much with a 1 inch punch ;p

Have you seen the lineup? Junie Browning and Julian Lane???

The segments in the house might actually be worth a watch.

"LET ME BANG BROO!!!!!!!!" :p

I've seen the list posted around on the underground and reddit, but it doesn't appear to have any source.

I'd take it with a huge pinch of salt.

Beautiful spinning elbow and flying knee finish from Daley!!

Not sure he should be calling out Rory MacDonald though.

Some controversy surrounding the main event at Bellator last weekend with a couple of flippant comments from Dan Hardy on his twitter essentially saying the fight was rigged.

He has appeared on Ariel Helwanis show since to clear up his thoughts on the comments he made.

Few other fighters on Twitter saying it looked like a 'work'.

Not sure it'd make much sense to fix the fight given Tito is retiring, but who knows, it definitely seemed too easy. Perhaps Chael is just that bad off the juice.

Hey guys, if Fedor Emelianenko was in the UFC and fought Miocic now, how well do you think he'd do? He's 40 so well past his best, but he's out of retirement and has an upcoming fight next month in some other MMA organisation. He was always my hero, really just because he (and Crocop) were the top fighters when I first took some interest in MMA. I wonder if Fedor would have been the heavyweight UFC champ and beaten the likes of Miocic had he joined UFC and was still in his youth? Because he is still regarded today as one of the best fighters ever.

Fedor would get absolutely starched by Stipe.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mitrione takes him out, he's quick, strong, has power. That's no gimme fight by any stretch of the imagination, especially now Fedor is very much at the tail end of his career.

wasnt there another dubious fight in Bellator? wasnt it ken v royce?

There's been a few, Kimbo Vs Shamrock springs to mind.

Fedor's big overhand right might catch Stipe, but in all honesty I wouldn't expect him to win. He was great MMA fighter in the ring and certainly one of my favourites along with Crocop. His ground and pound was awesome! His management ruined him really, picking and chosing fights. He is certainly gettting too old now, and the fact that MMA has changed so much over the years I think means that he isn't close to being the dominant fighter he used to be. I wondered in recent years whether he could get down to light-heavyweight class and be a force there?

He could've made 205 imo, his frame isn't particularly large. Look at DC he is a similar height and wasn't too dissimilar in weight at HW, he makes 205.

IIRC Fedor generally weighed in around 230, 235. You'd think that's just his normal walking around weight, IE: he doesn't cut at all. Its not out of the realms of possibility to cut 25-30 pounds, hell, he's always looked a bit chubby so it's not just water weight he could lose :p

Obviously at his age it would be tougher to cut the weight, it's not a question of whether he could do it, but whether he wants to. It would appear not.
