Just came across this on the news (Babee on board app)

Am I the only one who read the thread title and thought it was some utterly stupid app someone had created to show emergency services that someone had a baby in the car after an accident?
Sort of like the 21st century version of the "baby on board" sticker that seems to live permanently in a lot of cars, long after the "baby" has grown up or the car sold on (do the emergency services ever actually pay any real attention to those stickers?)

Instead it sounds like a pretty pointless app for people on public transport.

Yeah fair point there, I haven't ever seen anyone fall over on the train I commute on but it could happen. Like I said I have offered my seat to a pregnant woman and would generally do so, but it's not the end of the world someone who's pregnant stands for 20 minutes

What's wrong with people is that they demand a vast array of scientifically supported studies that give overwhelming justification for someone having to actually ask others for a touch of kindness and common courtesy...

The fact that anyone thinks you'd *need* badges and apps to flag up occasions where you may have to suck it up and stop being a **** for a few moments is just further proof of that... and the fact that they'd seek to make money from the app, knowing it's likely only bought by those who didn't need it in the first place is just the nail in the coffin.

**** humans and **** their attitudes. Let them remember this when it's their turn to need a bit of kindness.

oh no sorry i was using a totally different 4 letter word. i didn't realise it was censored.

totally 100% changed the tone of the sentence i meant the short hand for a cuckoo birds breeding practice.
