Resident Evil 7 Benchmarks

What's funny is that there are only 2 people who are defending guru3d and agree about what they have done on here, those 2 must be on steam chat having a good laugh/troll again... ;) :D :p

What's funny to me is, Kapp asked if there was a bench and not one of us answered, as we don't know :D All debating over something we don't own :D

I have not followed this thread properly, only popped in once or twice so not exactly sure which 2 you are referring to, but I can take a good guess who you mean by the way you described them :p:D

You've just described 99% of the threads in this forum. My favorite threads are Zen and Vega. If I ever get those, I doubt I'll participate much in either one! I'll probably lurk around some Volta or Pascal-refresh (or whatever-next-big-thing-there-is) thread...

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Great that it is that we appear to be able to play this at 4K with a lowly RX480, I'm still going to get it for my PS4 Pro and PSVR instead.

Can't wait to see the wife trying this out in VR. It's going to scare the bejeezus out of her!

Yer, comedy thread whatever way you come at it really and I will deffo grab it when I am 2 weeks off after next Sunday. I am a bit peeved that the PS gets VR but the PC gets 2 fingers stuck up at it regarding VR, although I would probably need new pants playing it in VR

LOL, enjoy and yer, it runs well on all GPUs it seems, so not a fuss whatever you have within reason.

I am not really interested in Zen having recently built a 6850K build but I am hoping it does very well. I also can't see me buying Pascal refresh or Vega unless they are something special over my 1080. Volta will more than likely be my next GPU.

Always one goes and spoils it :D

hehe, probably why I'm one of the only users calling the option in question by it's proper name.

It's like a bunch of blood sucking lawyers getting their clients name wrong lol :D

So this poor woman, my client Sandy Beach...Sorry? Sarah, yes that's what I said."

Seriously though, I'd really like to find out how this Shadow Cache thing really works. Reason is that from vague descriptions it seems to be doing some pre-rendering using the spare VRAM.

Now, there are two aspects to this:

The first one is how much extra VRAM do you have (presumably more is better but there'll probably be some threshold beyond which it doesn't make any difference).

The second (more important) aspect and how it works. Is some optimization used in AMD that makes it so much better? Will they (can they?) do the same for Nvidia cards? Is it generic code that Nvidia could improve in its drivers (so we can expect something better)?

It still doesn't change the fact to whether she is guilty or not. It's the evidence that decides this. I suggest everyone that got the name wrong and called it Shader Cache and not Shadow Cache go back and edit there post's.

Tbh i did read a few that called it Shader Cache and typed it a few times myself due to seeing it so much. It is good to get it correct just to stop late comers being confused by Amd/Nvidia's control panel options.

Shadow Cache it is
