I've just watched 'You decide' on BBC and out of the 6 finalists, Lucie Jones won with 'Never Give Up On You'. Tremendous voice. Crappy, unmemorable song. Nil point.

So here is our 'Chick in Kiev'. See what I did? :D

It might win then ;)

Lets face if we sent One Direction, Ed Sheeran or Adele we would still lose. Voting has been and always will be political. This year will suck pretty bad as countries that are opposed to us leaving Europe will give us nil point so I expect we will probably be at least bottom 3.

We only watch the Eurovision for the commentary taking the michael anyway out of the other contestants and the "guess which country will vote for its neighbours" competition.

I always recall us being bottom 3 for the past several years?

I don't like it.. but saying that some of the crappest songs imo have done really well the last 2 years so who knows.. maybe this can win if I think it's as crap as Ukraine's entry last year.

I just had a listen to the other UK entries, Salena I feel would have given us the best chance, nice voice, reasonable music and beat which flows with the singing. This song by Lucie is one of those songs where they had some lyrics and put some music on it afterwards and it just doesn't fit.

naw dont be so pessimistic ! :D

2016 You're Not Alone 24th out of 26
2015 Still In Love With You 24th out of 27
2014 Children of the Universe 17th out of 26
2013 Believe In Me 19th out of 26

How on earth did Salena not get chosen over the rubbish in the OP? Maybe too political?

Whats Brexit got to do with the Eurovision song contest??? even if we leave the markets we will still be part of Europe..

he he amount of people I know who have fallen for that one ! :)
What we should do is stop being a big contributor and have to do the qualifying rounds. That way we can get knocked out early and dont have to take part in the main competition. Bit like England football team.
Save us a lot of money too.

+1
Brave girl though even considering this event.
Andi.

Utterly pointless us entering this year, I will be surprised if we even get one vote.

I'm glad the younger girl didn't get the gig as we're pretty much putting a victim up for slaughter before the political voting lions.

meh, all the choices were garbage - we might as well not bother if thats the best we can do.

yeah i know we will never win anyway but where's our british pride dammit ;)
