I am looking at getting a decent FFB wheel and quite like the look of the Thrustmaster TX wheel leather addition, I can then sell the T3PA pedals and buy the T3PA Pro pedals.

My other option is to buy the Thrustmaster stand alone servo and add the Thrustmaster 28 GT Wheel and T3PA Pro pedals. This works out more expensive, but before I decide can anyone tell me if the stand alone servo is the same one as used in the TX Wheel leather addition.

I have about £400 to spend so if anyone has other suggestions for a different wheel and set up to play Dirt Rally, Assetto Corsa and Project Cars, please tell me.

Do you need XB1 compatibility? If not, I'd go for the T300 Integral package, as the 30cm 599xx rim would be preferable.

The T300/TX servo bases are the same as the packaged versions.

No I don't need XB1 compatibility, I just need a decent leather wheel and pedals. I will take a look at the T300 Integral package. Thanks

Not apart from the T28 you were looking at.
Is it just that you like the leather feel and/or want it to be more hard wearing?

If you absolutely want leather, then go for it.
It's just that IMO, the 28cm TM rims are a bit **** unless you have tiny hands. There isn't enough space between the rim and the paddles and a 30cm wheel just feels a lot better and less toylike with the majority of cars.

ive got a tx (the 458 italia version with 599 evo rim, t3pa and th8a) to be honest i wouldnt recommend getting one, ive had nothing but problems with it, like not being recognised even on a fresh ocuk built pc.

Rim is too small, the d pad on it seems to be recognised by about 3 games and the paddles feel like they are operating a very cheap switch

ffb is about as good as you can expect for a wheel in this price range seems to get hot pretty quickly though and the fan is really loud, it also has without a doubt the most violent calibration process ever it litterally smashes the wheel into its rotation limits

Most of them do sadly. I remember the same on the G25. I've also forgotten how loud the Logitech wheels were.

I have just upgrade my t150 to the t300, 599 alcantara rim and t3pa pedals. Overall iam very impressed the rim is lovely feels high quality is a nice size. The pedals are great too especially the conical break. And the base is smooth with a nice bit of power and speed. There's no way i would go back to a 28cm wheel again.
