Put deposit down today on Audi SQ7 - Cant wait to pick it up.

Not everyones cup of team I am sure - but I like it.

Always fancied a 4x4/SUV style and with the performance aspect it just ticks the boxes.

Not too bad a spec either:

  • 22” alloys
  • Tech pack
  • BOSE Sound
  • Black Styling pack
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Ambient lighting pack
  • Red brake callipers
  • Black roof rails
  • Flat bottom steering wheels
  • Folding/heated wing mirrors
  • Electric/heated Front Seats.

Will post more pics when I pick it up/review.

Any questions feel free to ask.

So they are the pictures, and the spec?

Why does a "black styling pack" car have a chrome grille?

Black styling pack is meant to come with black roof rails and a black front grille. That looks like someone has plastidipped the window surrounds.

EDIT: It appears to be this one, at least the side profile picture matches, but the front end one doesn't

EDIT2: You've taken the front end shot from this advert?

What's going on? You buying the front end from Solihull and the side from Warrington?

Pics were meant for illustration purposes on colour/model/wheels.

My actual car wont be here till March...as its just arrived at UK Port.

Thanks for your efforts - repurposed you could have an interesting detective career and add great value to the world.

Notwithstanding the odd Hovis-necessitating nature of the OP, the centre console/dash looks decidedly average :/ I get that it is probably made from exquisite materials in the thighs of virgins but the MMI display placement and non-integration looks ridiculous. Good thing it'll have a full LCD instrument cluster as I'd be leaving the MMI display hidden as much as possible!

Edit: For someone with a decent PC setup you really do suck at screenshots or finding photos to post online ;) :D

Would it not have been FAR easier to just take two/three pictures from the configurator?

That way it would have been your actual build.

I also don't understand how you "only" put your deposit down today, but it's in the country already. That's some quick build.

Didn't pay "£75k for that"

75k for that my god

Not sure what you mean? How could I get actual picture of the one I built?

I didn't use configurator, it was already built, and the one I test drove was grey.... hence the "At UK port" comment....

Nice. Has it got the air suspension? Or does the SQ version come with it as standard?

Would love a car like that and it's a great colour, however they're too much money for me at the moment as they're all still really new.

Hoping there'll be some decent second hand examples around when the first raft of PCP deals get chopped in, though I wouldn't be going for the SQ myself.

Surely he has purchased a pre built car, seems perfectly reasonable?

Yep, comes with air suspension as base spec on SQ..

I was the same - but once I priced up the Q7 with options I would want - it wasn't far away from SQ7 - so if I am paying almost the same I fancied bigger engine.

As with all forums there are a fair share of fantasists who pretend to buy nice cars for the attention (there will be some examples that people will cite I'm sure). So when someone posts odd looking pics (tiny) with a mismatched spec (Black styling pack vs Chrome grill) then some will question whether or not you have bought a £70k+ car. The pre-built thing should have been common sense but by then some over-suspicious people's backs were up.

When you receive it you just need to post a pic of the car with a loaf of Hovis and a sign saying 'Hi OcUK' (you don't need to be in it) and the masses will be satisfied.

Looks cool, although never really been an Audi fan. I'm not sure about the centre vent styling that continues endlessly?

Enjoy the new whip!
