Hi, I just placed an order for a Pentium G4560 3.50GHz.

Could I use a working Freezer 7 PRO cooler from another build, or just use the stock cooler that will come with the CPU?

Thanks.

I am going to spend about £25 on a cooler for mine just so that if I do upgrade the CPU in future I don't need to worry about buying a cooler.

Plus for £25 you can get a pretty decent cooler.

"Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Air CPU"

Don't forget that sockets 1155/1156/1150/1151 all have the same spacing for coolers so if it fits one it will fit them all. The Freezer 7 Pro will easily handle a Pentium if it has the correct mountings.

OK thanks, I try and get a closer look at the one I have.
Thanks.

You probably won't get too much out of a cooler upgrade other than maybe quieter operation, I'd see if the stock cooler is quiet enough for you already
