New Car time - Audi SQ7

I feel like the design could be improved if they didn't bother with the pop up screen, and instead just put everything on the virtual cockpit.

A monstrous bit of kit though, enjoy!

As with all forums there are a fair share of fantasists who pretend to buy nice cars for the attention (there will be some examples that people will cite I'm sure). So when someone posts odd looking pics (tiny) with a mismatched spec (Black styling pack vs Chrome grill) then some will question whether or not you have bought a £70k+ car. The pre-built thing should have been common sense but by then some over-suspicious people's backs were up.

When you receive it you just need to post a pic of the car with a loaf of Hovis and a sign saying 'Hi OcUK' (you don't need to be in it) and the masses will be satisfied.

I think this forum has on the large been fantasist free for quite some time now? Unless I've missed some gems :p

Only one I that pops up in my mind is Malx and the never ending I'm buying this car hijacking threads.

Congrats. Looks very nice. I'm not usually a fan of SUV's/4x4 but the exterior looks very nice. Really not liking the screen stuck on the dash though. Enjoy.

For that kind of cash personally I could think of better but, what a powerhouse.

Will be like a small moon on the move when you give it the beans! lol

These are very quick, quicker than the stats suggest they run an electrical supercharger after the twin turbos for instant throttle response. Hugely complicated setup that means the car needs a 48v battery system aswell as the standard 12v system.

I couldn't beleave how quickly it pulled away off the line for a car of its size.

If you've never seen the interiors of these in person, they're really nice imo and feel extremely premium.

Like what? Not saying you're wrong but interested to know what you consider better for ~£70k.

Nice car OP.

Yeah, but it's a £70k+ Audi. It's not as if he's just come on here and claimed he's bought the Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic off Mr. Ralph Lauren himself, is it?

Only 435bhp...yawn

:p

I'd take the RRS of FFRR over the Audi if it wasn't for the horrific infotainment system in the JLR on some of the earlier models.

Having said that, Audi's system is only marginally better.

its not a supercharger its and electrically assisted compressor built into the a 3rd turbo is my under standing.

It is the third 'turbo' well, 1st in terms of output, of course supercharger by definition as its not exhaust driven.

For the output and motor size you have to jump to 48V for such systems - Audi then use that for the active anti roll bar system.

Like Clarkson said, why would you NOT buy a Range Rover? lol

Audis are not perpetually comfortable I find and that is the whole point in cars like this. Their seats are always quite hard, the damping isn't great, etc.
