Hello, I'm having a night out tonight in Edinburgh can anyone recommend where to go on Thursday evenings for a good night out? Also anywhere decent to eat?

What sort of food are you looking for? Id recomend going to Civerinos for pizza or Bread Meats Bread for burgers, poutine and squeaky cheese.

Well it's 3 mid 30 work colleagues (2 blokes and a woman) so not massively keen on being in the midst of studentville. Generally we just tend to get drunk and have a laugh so somewhere we can have a chat on. Also the woman in the party loves karaoke or cheesy disco music later on.

Can't go wrong with whistlebinkies on the grass market. Normally a good vibe, and theres a few clubs in the area too (mostly student vibe though).

Also have Brewdog, and 3 lions close by. Also Bar salsa across the road, which is normally cheap for drinks. I've seen people walk across the road for a drink, whilst actually drinking it in whistlebinkies

Not sure on karaoke but Dragonfly in Old Town does good cocktails and 10mins walk away there's also The Devil’s Advocate. Boozy Cow in New Town is good for a nibble and drinks to start the evening off. Have fun!!

I went to a stag do in Edinburgh a couple of years ago. One night we started in a spot that had a load of retro consoles setup.

The food was ok, but the best bit was the beer and the games

Are you a member of a club? If so, check if the New Club is on your club's reciprocal list. No karaoke, though.
