And am I the only one who thinks Rallying is no longer exciting?

No, but I think that's partly down to scale and coverage. Rallying was huge in the early 80s and got a lot of media attention.

Also, the spectators. Bloody silly lack of crowd control was bound to kill off Group B and reduce the scale of rallying.

Was a spectator ever killed or injured?

Yes and yes. Most notably in 1986 in Portugal, which was particularly notorious for crowd problems. The driver tried to avoid hitting people and the death toll was 3, with 30 more injured. It could have been a lot more. Had Group B continued without radical changes to crowd control it would have been a lot more.

It was also very bad for the drivers, all of whom commented and some of whom refused to race. There's onboard footage which ends with the driver saying "that shouldn't be allowed", which I think sums it up perfectly.

Not so sure about the melodrama, but overall this was a very detailed look at the performance and handling differences between the 2017 GT-R and the NSX.

X-Post from the Civilised Southern Meet thread. Vox's idea of a sunny Saturday drive.

ITB'd E30 325i with the wrong rear end for the job. Epic noise though!

Bit of antisocial skidding.

Skip to 1:30, we need this kind of fun in the UK!

Not only that but when today's rallying has Group B size shoes to fill, there's simply no way they're going to match it with all the regs in place. Group B was such an extreme beast compared to today's WRC. Completely unhinged and insane which is why it's still loved as much as it is.
