Electric Universe? What do you think?

Absolute hogwash. Pseudoscience.

They subscribe to an idea called "electric universe," and sometimes describe themselves as "getting EU eyes." Like slipping on rose-colored glasses, the conversion changes their perception of the entire universe. The objects and events remain the same. But they're tinged with truth. And in EU theory, the truth is that electricity rules.

Electric currents that flow along plasma filaments shape and power galaxies. The currents stream into stars, powering them like fluorescent bulbs. They induce the births of planets. Craters on those planets come from electrical arcs, like lightning bolts, that sear the surfaces.

Also, black holes don't exist, and neither does dark matter. Nor dark energy.

The Big Bang? Never happened.

Einstein's two relativities are laughable fiction.

I often wonder why some people indulge in overt lies and deny empirical evidence to the contrary. Maybe they are delusional or maybe they have a political/financial agenda. Whatever the reason it's very pernicious.

Like homeopathy is fake medicine for people who cannot grasp simple medical concepts, this seems like fake science for people who cannot grasp simple mathematics.

There is some interesting stuff said and it actually appears tangible - what do you think?

well I clicked on the link, saw video entitled 'The Electric Universe - Information they don't want you to know about' and that done me!! That's like the TFH wearers mantra - 'information they don't want you to know about!!!'

Yeah I saw that too and that they were 'going up against the big boys' I didn't buy into the concept, some of the other stuff they have put out is fantastical under the guise of 'an idea in development' but it is simply nonsence.

The only thing that got my attention was the link between electromagnetic discharges and the shape of galaxies - it looked like there might be a connection in as much as to explain why the form in the shape that they do and that they might have a idea there

I started to think about how many possible shapes there could be, I imagined that you could make a magnet (then using a discharging EMF) play with the settings until you get a likeness to anything you like...

I guess I better listen to my common sense a little closer

Few bits that are interesting but so much that we can prove is just plain wrong with our own eyes :| most of it is pure hogwash the narration often just inventing claims of things that no one has ever claimed or overlaying concepts on things that are just a twisted misinterpretation of the truth of those concepts.

"Spits out coffee" Good lord where do people dream up this nonsense? Where is this electrical energy supposed to derive from or do they ignore the first rule of thermodynamics too? I think I just answered my own question.

Okay - a bit of necro going on here, however, the EU theory is carrying significant weight now and the main stream publishers are starting to acknowledge that there is an undeniable claim that electromagnetic forces do have a much more significant impact in space than we previously understood.

So I ask again - does anyone have any to say about this model? I don't agree with everything that is put forward, however, there is a simplicity that answers so many questions that it does warrant investigation.

No. Where are the citations for this "significant weight"?

Necro denied.

Back to actual Science.

Lol ‘em forces have more significant impact’

This is vague af, we know they have significant impact, they’re some of the strongest forces between objects. It’s a fundamental part of existence.

That we ‘do not know’ is also fundamentally correct, as anyone should realise we’ve barely scratched the surface of fundamentals as it is and it’d be foolish to think we’re remotely ‘done’.

You do understand that most of what has not been done to either prove or disprove this theory is because the main stream denied it? I guess its because they have a self interest in keeping the old narrative. I'd like to hear some views put forwards rather than deny discussion.
The debate is open - all over the world it's being debated.

What I'm asking is then - lets open some dialogue rather than being dismissive. I don't know enough about this to declare anything to be of sound scientific grounding because I'm an electrical/mechanical maintenance technician - I don't subscribe to everything that is put forwards - I just wonder if there is any merit to this theory and if anyone would care to watch some of the footage and have an opinion then it would be a great starting point or maybe not?
