CEC headache, amp source constantly switching to Fire TV

I have a Pioneer SC 2024 amp, I have several sources to this such as Sky Q, a NUC, Fire TV, PS4 etc.

Whenever I turn all the kit on, the amp will switch its input to the Fire TV no matter what input I set it to. I continues to do this for about 30 seconds.

For example, I will turn it all on, switch to Sky Q. The amp then switches to the Fire TV, so I switch it back. It then automatically goes back to the Fire TV. It continues to do this for quite some time. It is highly frustrating.

So for the only thing that cures it is to disable CEC control in the amp settings, but I like to be able to adjust the volume using the Sky remote and not having to use the amp one all the time.
 
You can get a small device/adapter which blocks the pin carrying the control signal. Just get one of those and use it on the Fire TV connection.
