Are you ditching 1080 for 1080ti ?

Picked up an EVGA 1080 Classified for £450 the other week. May be tempted depending on price/performance though!

Currently in the nice position that my 3770k/980Ti are still doing great at 1440p. The majority of games now are desinged for consoles meaning 30fps and slow turning circles with a gamepad so no need for more than 60fps unless your making a living out of gaming. You also have to consider the lack of Adaptive Sync support from Nvidia as HDR starts to trickle in. The question is, do I really want to spend money on performance that I don't need yet?

I will probably go for a 3440x1440 IPS HDR screen first. Then a Ryzen 1800X or better as the CPU's last a long time before looking at a new graphics card. Or I may cave :p

No, I paid £530 for EVGA 1080 FE new (£55 of which was gift cards anyway)
I cant see the increase in performance being worth the difference in cost for me, assuming it launches around the £800 mark.

I will be ditching 980 for one, if the price is reasonable. I don't think 1080 to 1080Ti would be worth it, if I personally had one.
