Best back to black product , arches sills ect

Guys what's the best back to black type product for arches and sills please ?

Everything I use goes back to a faded black after a few weeks or so.

Car cleaning thread!

But you will want something that lasts - Carpro Dlux, Gtechniq C4 or Carbon Collective Platinum Trim.

STP "Son of a gun" used to keep the black rubber bits on my old XR3i lovely, not seen it around in shops for a while though.

The GTechniq stuff has been used by several on here with outstanding results. For just general making slightly faded stuff black and keeping it black, Armorall Shield "better than wax" stuff is briliant, you can put it on trim/glass as well as the paint and helps maintain really nice looking trim..

Most will fade again from 3-12 months, that's just my experience with a heat gun, back to black, linseed oil etc

If you want something that will last a can of satin black spray paint is usually my choice, i use to do that for bumper strips etc.

I've actually found Halfords own brand to be the most effective. It's almost like an oil, but is very long lasting.

EDIT: Cant find it on their site now though.

Gtechniq worked ok for me on the black trim around the windows but didnt work on the bumpers. Rest of the stuff mentioned above is pretty temporary, other than paint.

I actually removed the bumpers on my old car and used plastidip, looked new but can scratch easily.

Best solution is new parts. :)
