Mobile World Congress 2017

Probably because windows phone is pretty much dead and buried. Why anyone would choose a platform with little to no apps is beyond me.

I do however like the simplistic UI.

I will get the XZ Premium if it's priced at £500 or below.

That sounds unlikely

"There's no pricing information yet, but if what we heard is right, you should expect the tag to be around the $900"

Shame because specs wise it sounds brilliant

The XZs sounds good. Not as much of a powerhouse but smaller (I don't like large phablet phones and the XZ premium at 5.5 inch plus those bezels is going to be huge) and still has the epic sounding camera.

Hopefully that is ~£300 because if it was i would get one but that is probably pretty unlikely

I wouldn't pay that for a phone. If I did want the 835 chipset then I'd get a One Plus 5.

The premium price is most likely due to the 4K HDR screen. Don't think there are any other phones with HDR is there? And wonder if the phone actually runs in 4K unlike the Z5P which had most things running in 1080p.

Well Sony seems to be stating it's true HDR, with the same tech as their TVs:

Guess we'll have to wait for reviews to find out.

EDIT: Oh the YT bb codes have changed...

Looking more at the Xperia XZs, i think it has everything i want from a phone. Waterproof, decent specs, not too big, fingerprint scanner in what looks to be a good place, amazing looking camera (especially the slow motion video stuff) , micro sd slot.

I really want to know how much they intend to charge for it. Really hoping it comes in around the £300 mark (as technically the SOC/internals and screen are 2016 flagship stuff not 2017). Probably be a silly price like £500+ though : /

I'm looking to get a Moto G5 Plus when it becomes available however I'm having difficulty finding out if it will definitely be dual SIM. I keep finding conflicting spec pages that say it both is and isn't, is anyone able to confirm?

Motorola's own site just says 'Nano SIM' - no mention of dual SIM.

Can't comment on the dual sim but I have a G4 and I'm still waiting for Android 7 upgrade. As Motorola is the most stock like device other than Pixel/Nexus can't see any reason for the delay!

The Nokia 5/6 will soon be taking that crown from Motorola. :) it'll be completely stock in fact. :D

I like the P10 Plus. That and the G6 are the only phone that caught my attention. If I didnt have my Mate 9 I would have gone for the P10 Plus

I'm due to change soon, and the P10 plus is ahead of the G6 and probably on par with the G8 for me at the moment. Although I think they'd sell more units if they lowered the price as for €700 most people will go with what they know...

Going by the p9... the p10 is going to be rather expensive. So much so you may as well go with a safer bet like the galaxy s8.

Are xiaomi at mwc this year ?
