im a bit at a loss

first winter in my new area at work, and it has been freezing

i was wearing some "Heat Holders" socks, but as they are for a 6-11 they are now all ripping and tearing
but REALLY warm!

so im in need of some new socks, that fit properly and are reinforced and warm (Merino wool based probably)

any ideas please?

thanks

I would try some ski socks tbh
Plenty of styles from simple tubular ones to ones with padding etc
I would also avoid wool and stick to man made fibres. Natural fibres absorb sweat, ideally you want to wick the sweat away from the body which man made do and naturals don't

I can't be the only one to have read the title as 'recommend me a warm **** sock', can I?

I didn't read it that way but it was the first thing my mind twisted it too any way :D.

I always used to wear two pairs of bog standard supermarket thermal socks when I had to spend my days outdoors in the cold. I think I may have just been more resilient then though, as I am permanently cold now :(:p.

Wool will absorb like cotton, but at least it retains the heat 2 fold over cotton
but my boots are good enough really, my feet very rarely get wet as im in warehouse/outside and now again im on the shop floor, but usually 9 hours a day in a cold enviroment
