* MASSIVE NVIDIA GTX 1080 PRICE DROP & 1070 DEALS TOO! *

Very true indeed. It'll be nigh on 3 years from the vote before anything at all will change in the slightest, yet the currency drops within hours in some sort of knee jerk reaction meaning we get 3 years of over inflated prices before we even leave! Bloody ridiculous

that's what happens when your currency can so easily be influenced by some idiots who only see their short term interest and profits.

I don't see how. It was the 2nd most powerful GPU in the world now 3rd. Furthermore titan xp is now a pointless product. Is the 5960x a midrange CPU seeing as it is bested by a 6900K and 6950x?

My personal view:
Titan X: Flagship but more geared towards professional!
1080Ti: Flagship Gaming
1080: High-end Gaming
1070: Mid/High-end Gaming
1060: Mid-End Gaming
1050Ti: Mid-End Gaming
1050: Low-End Gaming

I believe that is pretty much how NVIDIA see it too!

Simple fact is even a 1050 is not a slow card and a 1070 offers 980Ti performance and in some cases better. 1080 and above is vastly quicker than anything NVIDIA had on Maxwell!

You do realise that the chances are it will never come back to $1.5? A lot of experts see it continually falling towards parity over the next few years.

Lets hope these 'experts' know what they are talking about this time...........

Nothing like being consistently wrong after-all.

Well I call a 20% drop since the vote in June which they called as being pretty dramatic otherwise why arent the new 1080ti only £500?

The laws of probability dictate that if you predict enough things one of them is likely to come true, i wouldn't hold too much to what these 'experts' say, they are predicting based on knowledge which is not applicable to our current or future situation.

Well I have more confidence in them by the fact we are dropping to 1.20 at the moment. You might have a point if it was currently $1.50 but since a lot of leave voters seem to think our pound was over valued and needs to be at parity, that certainly seems to be the way we are heading.

If the US hand elected Trump we would be below $1.20 by now already. Every time Trump does somethign stupid, which lets face it is quite often, the dollar gets hit so we get a little bounce back.

Gibbo! What you doing mate you're supposed to put the prices up so I can sell my two 1080s and buy two Ti's from you! :)

What's the 1070 FE like for noise with the blower? Restricted in height in my new case but they would fit nicely :)

They are good to be honest, sometimes can get a little noisy but generally the FE is a superb card! :)

These prices are totally INSANE by Asus and remember OcUK has the advanced 3yr RMA service on all Asus products which is even more reason to by Asus due to their fantastic warranty service they provide for OcUK customers.

At these prices it makes sense to buy Asus! :)

dayum those are some nice prices
msi quicksilver looks especially good
almost makes me wish i had held out til now ;D
ah well happy with my one

No.

The vanilla 1080 was and is a high end card. The Ti and Titan X take the enthusiast spot.

The 1060 is mid range, and the 1070 is mid-high end.

If Gibbo and NV see it this way why do folks still insist otherwise?

because a lot of us have been in the gpu game a long time and don't fall for nvidia's marketing spiel
