ETA OCUK X370 Taichi AMD X370

Another website suggests 2mro as "In stock" However, I've spoken to OCUK a few times and they've said they have no idea on stock dates. I've had my pre order for the Taichi for awhile, I heard from a friend they were delaying the Taichi due to major bios issues?

ditto on the "tmrow" but it was supposed to be in sunday too so dont be surprised if its pushed forward again, i hope its bios isn't borked as its the board i really want to try.

We wait from 8Pack by the end of the week to give us some feedback regarding the Taichi.

Which is the only thing that stopping me from buying an AMD R7 atm.

My motherboard order from another retailer was due to be shipped today and has been moved to 10th March.

Ive just seen them shift the date too. Clearly just giving out random dates. My moneys on the 15th then, gonna be a long wait

Yup seen a few boards with dates of 15th/16th, so not looking good for this weekend. Absolutely bonkers, never seen a launch like it. Got an entire PC sat here unusable because no boards exist!

Saw a post on Reddit where apparently New Zealand of all places has mountains of boards and no shortages whatsoever. :/

Yer not alone. Cpu and ram here doing nothing. Great :B

if i go 7700k over the 1700 (and all these black screens and "future sometime fixes" are pushing me to intel, sorry amd), il be using the z270 taichi instead of the 370amd, their both nice boards, the z270 actually exists on shelves though.

I think these type of issues are kind of to be expected with a bleeding-edge brand new platform just past its first week on the market. Its a brand new CPU architecture, brand new motherboards which need to be tested and certified against a huge range of RAM chips and peripherals, vs an old and stable platform that has been tweeked past the point of diminishing returns. I think Wendell made a great point in one of his recent Tech Lounge talks that AMD was wise just to release the expensive high end R7 parts rather than both the 5 and 7, so that the early adopters, tweakers, enthusiasts, Engineers, etc can report and work out the kinks before the mass-market R5's are launched, which will be the real direct competition to the 7700k.

I found the audio clip which is part of a great Ryzen discussion:
. His comments just before this re. increasing the cache size to beat the 7700k are also interesting.
