Is a 1070 an upgrade over a 480 8GB?

I bought my 480 8GB very recently, paid £230 for it from OCUK. I know that I can get a 1070 from the MM for around £300 and I'm wondering if it would be much of a upgrade

Well you'll only get £150 ish for your 480 now so it's down to you whether you think another £150 on top is worth it for max settings.

Yeah that's what I'm trying to decide really... hmm

At 1080p it's not worth it unless you want 144fps as the 480 produces well over 60fps in most games. At 1440p the difference is much higher in my experience. Then I would trade up.

I had both cards and ran both resolutions.
