Supercar Spotting

ergh, whats he done to it, looks like someone smeared poo all over it. Would have looked nice if it was in that red shade all over.

I think he was going for the Iron Man look.

Didn't one of Lord Aleem's (or whatever you call him, another super car youtube poster) Lambos get petrol bombed recently?

lol at all the McDonalds comments and I thought the Iron Man R8 was white or silver, not red and gold.

It's in reference to his suit colours. I guess it all works though, for all us slamming him, we are talking about it and watching his vids.

He is oddly ugly in a way I can't put my finger on, and that wrap makes me cry, its trying to be a veyron but is about £950,000 short of managing it

and the wheels.....just no.

I think it is his massive, flat nose.

When I watch the videos I just stare at his nose. I can't help it! They should replace Andy for him for Nostrodaumus on Mad in Chelsea.

This guy has come far since his R8 days! Traded the R8 for a Gallardo, then a GTS AMG, and now he's just taken delivery of a Huracan. Plus he has an M3 to go with it! All from taking pics of cars... :o

Yup, I'd say well done him.

The other is see through glass guy who's a bit more annoying but also drives a McLaren.. I'm sure all cars are on monthly repayments and they only have them for 1 year and get rid so theres little to no depreciation and no running costs other than insurance and petrol/tax.

Some even appreciate like porches have lately.

Out of all these youtube car channels, I think SOL is the only one to have 'made it' off his own back and youtube. Shmee, STG, JWW, TGE all appear to have quite successful businesses or investments already and seem to be living out their supercar dream quite easily. Fair play to them and SOL though, they are doing what they love and making something of it.

STG freely admits the only way he could get into the Mclaren was using finance. In fact I think he also mentioned he used finance on all his old cars (f-type etc).

Think it's pretty obvious the people who actually do youtube as a job/make money and those who just post for the fun of it. JWW for example, is clearly already very well off and thats nothing to do with youtube.

Where as like you say, SOL seems to have built everything up from scratch on his own. Fair play to him for doing so well. I think it was also a case of being in the right place at the right time as he was one of the first doing car videos back when youtube started, albeit uploading stuff from camera phones back in the day.

STG has made a whole video on how he financed his McLaren (I assume it was also an advert for the company and in turn they gave him a sweet deal).

Shmee appears the most 'business minded of the YouTubers" and diversified his content and has made a lot of contacts which allow to have pretty sweet opportunities.

SOL has been the original spotter and stuck with a largely the same formula. The only reason he's going is because he's one of the originals. His content on the whole fairly dragged out and a bit samey. He will now no doubt do PPF, then start thinking of what wrap it, then put a new exhaust on it - rinse and repeat. But fair play to him, very impressive what he's achieved.

STG was like SOL but is now making more interesting and varied content. His videography is top draw. His enthusiasm is evident in his videos.

TGE I wouldn't class a YouTuber in the traditional sense. He makes all his money elsewhere and hires a professional (calwoo) to video his antics. But of self-promotion and it promotes his business - he's now got over 100k on Instagram as well.

I like watching STG's videos, only one I bother with. Aye he did a video on finance for the McLaren, don't think he mentioned specifics but it still won't have been cheap.

Shmee irritates the hell out of me.

"Hi guys, it's Shmee here, look at this car, it's yellow! it's fast! it has an engine! Look at the pretty car! isn't it awesome!"

Guy knows as much about cars as I do about quantum computing.
