Not sure if this Merc's suspension has collapsed or if the guy driving is rather heavy. Either way it looked odd. :p

Quite common with air suspension systems, there's a FFRR driving around near me with about 1/2 a foot of clearance on the rear and totally slammed on the front.

Clog up with crap? Not a clue what you could mean there, the systems use compressed air or sometimes hydraulic fluid depending on the system. They run under immense pressure, there is no chance "crap" would ever find its way in.

With air you will usually experience a leak from a strut or airbag depending on construction, the pump then starts to over run to compensate which will eventually result in pump failure.

I have had a few cars with air suspension, and a couple of cars with active body control. My current active body control car did suffer self levelling issues as it happens, hydraulic self levelling cars use a complex systems of valves within an automated valve block to distribute the pressure and maintain perfect ride height regardless of load - these valve blocks fail.

Spotted this new GTR, looked amazing and I love the colour. The drivers door was completely open and I didn't see the owner - hope it wasn't nicked or something. :p

Am I that far off? It's possible, but even in my sleepy state that still looks like a 911 gt1 wearing some martini livery. I do need coffee though, good shout!

Haha nah you're bang on! But three or four people have already named it as a 911 GT1 (98). :D

I'm currently sipping my second cup of the day.
