Shots fired outside parliament - Please refrain from speculative and antagonistic posts

I can't believe how many of the usual suspects just jump to conclusions on here that it's an Islamic terrorist attack. Yes it may well turn out to be one but wait for the facts. Does everything bad in the world has to be put on Islam first until proved otherwise?

It's just when the usual suspects come out and use incidents like this to attack all muslims and the whole religion, when actually we are "at war" with just a very specific group, that it becomes distasteful

^ Did he actually say that Greebo?

All too easy for some unfortunately on here.

Only the other day, some turnip was almost grinning when that air show crash was confirmed to be pilot error - and he demanded an apology.

Priorities people :(

Tbf the only pwople blaming "all muslims" have been the usual "ironic" posters like yourself

We will find out later that the suspect was known to police and was on the watch list but they ease the surveillance...
And unfortunately most of the population will think that the person involved was a Muslim origin ....and that is sad as in a work place I work with few of them and whenever something like this happends are discrased and sadden about it

I'm not the Chief of Police. If I was, of course not, I'd consider every eventuality. If I was in charge of what the Met said to the press, I wouldn't have said what they did.

I think it shows that they have considered the event and have rolled out the appropriate plan which is what the people want to hear. It shows that across London they would be on alert for anything else happening

"the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims."

C'mon it's aimed at the house of parliament, it is safe to assume that on some level there is a political motivation....

But terrorism used to mean the irish too, why it's exclusively reserved by some for more middle eastern religions i don't know.
Probably because it's been 20 years since we had an Irish terror attack over here?

So far we have drink and drugs fuelled, then retracted as in humour, a political vendetta, a nutter with no agenda,
an underlying agenda, in the old days it was the Irish, mustn't call a spade a spade, blah blah.....

How long before we have 20 off the wall conciliatory reasons? What a bloody country this has turned into. I am sure the President
of the United States *will* do some Tweeting, and I would bet he won't be as coy as some on here...

This place is getting worse than the spie days of "why do pakis smell" :(

It has a silver lining though: write their names down and you'll have a nice concise list of people who probably struggle to reach double digit IQs. Great reference to have on a post it stuck to your monitor.

absolutely, Again I'm just saying terrorism is terrorism it shouldn't be called anything else just becuase it doesn't suit ones political agenda.
