So many nice people in the world.

And idiots, the terrorists are still a minority. ..

A bit like the poster on here arguing with me before that 1% of muslims wasn't a minority and I was just using semantics to argue it was

Beard? Shaved head? Pretty much how I look.

Again, some on here will find your assertion degrading and offensive. That certainly looks like a Green Peace activist protesting global warming (don't they all have beards, even the women) and the effect the increased sun rays through the depleted ozone layer is having by turning his skin brown.

Everyone always jumps to conclusions!

I just heard that too. So that puts and end to the "Arm the police" calls straight away then.

This was ended because an armed officer was present on the scene. Had this been elsewhere, where there are no armed officers stationed, it could have been much, much worse.

GOOD!!!!!!

Makes me wonder how he managed to get close enough to stab an ARMED officer

The same way you get close enough to stab anyone really. If they were caught unaware there's not a lot you can do; by the time someone is close enough to use a knife it's too late.

I feel kinda sorry for everyone stuck on the London Eye. Some of them must think why have we stopped & why we've been on there for so long, unless there is a PA system built in & they've been told what's going on. I'd be bursting for the loo if I was stuck up there for over three hours.

No reason why they should be still up there tbh. Parliament has been evacuated, surely they could let those stuck on the London Eye out ?

I would imagine that there's a fair amount of investigating and research going on behind the scenes, and that locking everything down until they have a grip on every angle is probably the safest option.

Christ... arm the damn police already !

If the didn't need arming 50, or 30 years ago then they don't need arming now.

Both violent crime* and police deaths have gone down significantly in the last 50 years, once in a blue moon incidents shouldn't result in knee jerk reactions.

*Except a slight uptick last year, due to a number of factors.

Yup, after a decade 4 people(maybe a few more) have died, it's only a matter of time you damn liberals. How many billions could we have taken away from the poor and needed over the past decade to pump into defence to save 4 people. That of course would have caused many deaths, maybe money taken from child protection leads to 50 more deaths, and other social care leads to several hundred more deaths, but we've got to do absolutely anything possible to save a dozen people a decade from terrorism, because it's much worse.

The reality of being alive is some people are nutters, some people want to kill others, it will happen regardless. It's horrendous and if it was reasonable preventable, sure do it of course. But if you have to give up your life to live in fear and take away freedoms and day to day life to you're simply doing what the terrorists want in the first place.

Just shows that it ain't that well protected and the grounds not very well observed for this geezer to get in and up close without anyone seeing him until it's to late
