Hi just installed new mobo and can't get the on board network adapter to be recognised.

Have done a clean install and still not recognised, used the drivers from both gigabyte and realtek.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated don't want to have to tear down the build and send the mobo back.

same setup as me, AB350m Gaming 3, Sapphire RX480 8gb, R7 1700, 16gb G.Skill Trident Z, sounds like you have a faulty board, I never experienced any problems like that, mine all worked out of the box.

Cmos cleared, ram taken out, tried Linux on USB but wouldn't display on monitor. Will try that again just to see if it is in fact completely dead. I can't see an option in bios to enable/disable the lan is there one? Only thing I see is network stack.

I had this same issue on a board many many many years ago. A kind person on here suggest I turn the power off and hold down the power and reset button for ten secs. I don't know why or how but it worked. Its a long shot for sure but easy to try.

Will try it as soon as I get back home

No there is no way to enable or disable the LAN in the Bios, or the audio which is kind of annoying, all on by default and no way to disable.

Something else you could try is download the bios file from Gigabyte and flash it again, Bios F2, maybe its just a bit corrupt.

Enables boot from 2nd bios chip.
