How many halal chicken shops does a high street need?

Why do most of these dead high streets end up with chicken shops that are mostly halal?

High streets across the country are being ruined, wouldn't it make sense to put more investment into these places that can help local residents? Such as doctors, chemists, banks etc

Just really irritates me that so many of these fast food places get the green light to open a new business when there are like 20 similar business within a 1 mile radius. I don't get the logic behind this really I wish the Government would clamp down on these shops.

Doctors etc won't want to be on the high street due to parking restrictions. No good having a surgery in the middle of town if people can't get to it unaided.

Two banks have shut on my high street recently. Fair enough, progress and all that, but I can guarantee that they'll be replaced by a takeaway or a bookies.

The high street as was is dead, mainly thanks to Amazon and the internet in general.

What if they weren't halal?

It would be better if they weren't halal, because halal slaughter methods are generally appalling.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it but the "halal" bit seems odd.

Foreigners taking arr Pharmacies n banks!

Really banks are dying as face to face banking is not in as much demand with apps and the internet. Pharmacies are a lucrative business and will set up where there is a chance to make money. You can assume that if there is no Pharmacy there, then there was not enough of a demand for pharmacies to set up there and i see no need for the government to pay them more. They currently have an incentive to set up which is being phased out as it is considered too generous, offering a £25k per Pharmacy which denseness above a certain amount of prescriptions per month

Back in my home town it's all charity shops, bookies and pound shops. A halal chicken place would be a nice change!

I agreed with this and then read the location. A lot of northern towns seem to be this way. I do think there are places that are over-saturated with kebab shops/bookmakers/etc and often wonder how they ever make enough money.

Why should the government try to force changes on the high street by blocking fast food shops? Why not let the market, ie the shoppers decide?

Any problem with Kosher meat?
yep

religion should never come above such laws like animal welfare, human rights etc. if that means you cant eat meat due to your religion, then don't eat meat.
ie. total seperation f state and religion, no laws even need to mention religion.

The same applies, but Kosher wasn't referenced in the OP. Or would you like a categorical list of all inhumane religious practices in the entire world?

No ta, but like others have said the reference to Halal in the OP appeared strange, unnecessary and perhaps like lazy racism. So what I'm really doing is probing whether the OPs issue is actually with (a) Chicken shops on the highstreet (b) Halal (c) inhumane slaughter practices as a whole or (d) Muslims.
