Am I alone in thinking this is politically motivated by Brexit and the desire to have some leverage in place in the upcoming negotiations rather than a curb on perceived Russian aggression on the region?

Nothing to do with brexit. All to do with supporting our allies, albeit with a token gesture. Can we name it Tanky McTankface?

I thought that they could be preparing for the disintegration of the EU should France leave, Germany might decide to conquer Europe militarily instead and Russia offers the perfect excuse to get our single super tank in place ready.

lol while hilariously underwhelming if things did kick off - IIRC there is something like 16 tanks and a few dozen AFVs deployed?

As mentioned above this isn't about brexit - this stuff has been ongoing for way longer.

Was talking about the most recent deployment of main battletanks to Estonia not the entire deployment to that area of the world.

It's one deployment and one Nato operation - one movement to one sector is irrelevant. The operation is to deter Russian aggression and a show of force in Eastern Europe of which Estonia is only one part.
