Cooling a Zotac 980ti?

What model is it?

Other than cleaning, air flow through the case not sure what you can achieve. Swapping fans won't do much and could have the opposite effect.

Have you got the AMP version or stock (blower) style cooler?
I've got the AMP version with the triple fan setup and very rarely do I even hear the fans above my CPU cooler?

Must add though that my card is not overclocked so running totally stock.

One thing that can make a decent difference is replacing the thermal paste on the core, it does of course involve removing the cooler and may invalidate your warranty but it can make a big difference if the on that's on there currently is not performing properly.

I would get a new case for your pc makes a lot of difference to how cool and quiet your cards run. (unless you already got a decent case lol)

Yeah get one of the hybrid ones above, then you can swap when you get a new gfx (and will just need a new adapter)

Zotac GeForce GTX 980Ti AMP Edition 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (ZT-90503-10P)

and my case is the Phanteks Enthoo Pro Mid Tower Case.

So would something like the Accelero Xtreme IV be suitable?

The fans work OK, but they are noisy and there's an annoying rattle at certain RPM.

Isn't the AMP! one of the better air coolers you can get? Doubt you'll see a huge improvement going aftermarket air cooling on it.

Looks like you already have a decent cooler on your card and a decent case.
You could add a couple of extra fans to your case or just simply turn the fan speed up on the case fans and turn down the fan speed on your card.

I had to redo the thermal paste and tighten the screws on my AMP! card as it was hitting 82C load with the fans hitting 80%. Now it's back to ~71C and quiet like normal. Easy job, just 6 screws to deal with.

Take the side of your case off and see if the cards still running hot, if it's still running hot and loud I would reapply the thermal paste if it runs cooler with the side off fix the air flow in your case.
