As the title says how much and what kind of electric goods you use daily at home?

I spend around 60/70 quid a month.

What i use is a HTPC connected to a 42inch LCD TV and got a 5..1 surround unit that uses a AV unit.

On my office room i have a quad core i7 system with two 980gtx sli(Hardly play much games but do lots of photo editing)

I then have a Ubuntu server using a low end i5 cpu , intergrated hdd with about 5/6 hdd's attached thats usually on during the day.

i tend to power off everything while asleep and sometimes only leave my server on during the day when im at work mon-fri.

I own a espresso machine and a grinder that i use in the mornings as well.

am i spending too much?

Whats everyones cost in electricity?

Seems a bit high I guess. I'm about £40 a month, most of my usage I suspect will be domestic appliances (oven, fridge, dishwasher, washer/dryer). My HTPC is on 24/7 but will only be 20-30W in idle I think. Other main users are my plasma that's on a 2-3 hours a day and the same with a relatively high end PC.

Surely you have more electrical devices than a couple of PCs, a TV and a coffee machine? How is your home heated?

Quite a lot. But less than you.
About 40ppm

HTpc (7850 inside) connected to 46 plasma and av receiver. But that's only used for films and games
Usually use chromecast which is just TV and receiver

PC is dual 280x (but never game) so it's probably the twin Dell u2711s with ccfl tubes which use the power.

We use hardly any except for that and only maybe 10-12 hours per week. Only two of us and we are outside a lot

Oh electric oven. Have 2 hobs and oven on and you can almost see the money vanish

If I gamed a lot or used TV more it could easy be 70

Around £40, just changed my lightbulbs from raw 100Watt to some more advanced 40W ones, pretty much same level of light produced I would say. So will save some there. Tend to stand in shower for ages, maybe 20-25mins so bit of heavy usage there.

£99 last quarter panasonic plasma ,electric oven and washing machine biggest drains ,freezer in outside games building ,fridge. pump for oil heating ,low end laptop

That's loads! Do you have kids ?

Changed all our halogen bulbs (60w x8) to 6w 8 led bulbs immediately on moving in. So unfortunately can't provide a saving. But obviously 10x

Three tenants living in the same house
1x high end PC + 42" LED TV
1x Medium range PC + 50" Plasma TV + Xbox one
1x PS4 + 32" TV

Appliances, electric oven + combi boiler

We spent between £60-75 a month, but some days where 8-10 hours of constant usage.. heavy gaming days.

Those days are gone now though.

£11 a mth, with BG and on their direct debit. God knows how it's that low as back in Jan I was paying £50 a mth. Guess I've managed to get myself into some sort of massive credit with them lol.

Not complaining though.

If you don't know your actual usage, and don't really understand what you're being billed at the moment, how can you possibly know whether you're on a decent tariff or not?

That's only about £0.66 or 5kW-h per day!

Just the PC I have on for work purposes will use most of that. To keep my bills that low I'd have to never watch TV, cook food, wash clothes, or shower. I'd probably have to live in the dark as well.

We got our £140 on our meter from some companies name I forgot. We have the gas and electric on meters so I go do the top ups.

At a guess..40 a month? I'd have to ask though I'm not entirely sure.
