I'm looking for a foot pedal that has simple on/off buttons (not analogue pedals for driving games).

It seems difficult to find anything that looks to be made by a decent manufacturer. There's a few cheapies on Amazon etc but I don't have much faith in the drivers for these!

I've looked at the Stinkyboards but those are expensive and don't see to be getting sold much. I've looked at Infinity/Altoedge footpedals that are normally used for transcription. These have had a gaming driver that allows you to bind the pedals to certain keys but I've been told that the software doesn't support Windows 10 and won't be updated.

For what, voice comms? :)

Scythe seems to make one (Footswitch II). Again, drivers are... iffy, looking at the comments.

My guess would be to make one myself. Using a guitar foot pedal shell, with a decent switch and some basic USB interface.

Yeah basically, for voice coms although something like the Stinkyboard looks like it could do a lot more with all the extra functions. It's a shame it's so expensive and not really getting sold anywhere at the moment.

I've been using my mouse thumb button for voice coms since I bought my first MS Intelimouse Explorer mouse over a decade ago but I'm thinking there must be a more efficient use for those thumb buttons!

Could definitely make one myself with a bit of research but I'm lazy lol :D

I use the creative labs WoW pedal for chat.. had it for years and its great for a push to talk button. I don't think they make them anymore but see if you can pick one up second hand.

Caps lock is the key for voice comms
I'm afraid it isn't because you end up TYPING LIKE THIS TO PEOPLE ALL THE TIME

Left Alt isn't great either (Alt tab)
left Ctrl also bad most games use Ctrl somewhere

Honestly the best Push to talk key is a debate that's been had for a long time on the internet, however I just swapped from using my keyboard macro keys to using a button on my mouse (which happens to be ctrl+Alt+Shift) so now no more conflicts with games :D
