Would Making These Changes To An Insignia Be Easy/Possible?

The insignia isn't a bad car at all, I have no idea why people would **** them off, they serve a purpose and actually drive very comfortably.

However....how on earth is the shortlist an E400 worth over £20k, or a pre facelift insignia?

I still want the E400 but I can't afford the ones up there now. E400, 428i and 435i... are all rare and I have to wait for the right one to pop up which is why I don't wanna spend too much on a temporary car.

If its temporary then objectively an insignia is actually a perfectly fine car, they cruise very comfortably and they are not unreliable. However, if you get one, don't spend anything on it, leave it alone and move it on when you are finished with it.

Personally I think the models of choice are actually the low end ones, they use cheap tyres, are better on fuel, and ride the best due to large side walls.

If you're shopping in the Insignia sector then personally I'd go Mondeo every time. The Vauxhalls leather felt really cheap, the interior plastics are of poor quality, the engine while punchy and powerful felt harsh and unrefined and the C pillar blind spot is too big for a 4 door saloon. A pal of mine considers the Insignia diesel to be his retirement plan as his workshop sees a disproportionate number of them with bottom end bearing failure. All I'm saying is if it were my money i wouldn't even consider one. I'm not a Vauxhall-hater whatsoever but my opinion is based on RL experience and not simply from reading online.

If you're buying it as a temporary car why the heck are you spending cash on cosmetic changes?

Just put a brown paper bag over your head, much cheaper :D

Then when you get a good car, no one will remember your face from the Vauxhall days so you can deny everything.

Because I'm doing all the work myself over time. It's not like I'm paying someone to wrap it... I will DIY the whole lot from cheap 2nd hand parts. It's not gonna cost much and if it comes out good I can add the costs to the price of the car when I sell it.

As with anything bodywork wise it would cost plenty (especially relative to the value of the thing) and nobody would pay more for the car to look that way - you're lucky if styling mods don't decrease value.

Tbh very very few people looking for a boggo insignia will look twice at something that has been tarted up

Just up your budget to 4.5k and buy the VX line model that already has the side skirts, bigger bumpers and massive alloys that the modded example in your OP has.
It would probably cost you 1k for the bodykit and big alloys and then nearly another 1k for a proper car wrap. Just pointless way of wasting money.
