Hi there all,

Me and the girlfriend are looking to get to the USA for a 2 week holiday in June 2018.

We have set our sights on Orlando and New York, ideally flying to NYC straight from Gatwick for 5 days, then an internal flight to Orlando for the remainder of the holiday, returning to Gatwick from Orlando. But we're unsure of who to book this holiday with, being two separate locations. Has anyone got any advice and tips for a holiday like this? Or travel agents people would recommend? And general advice for our first time to the US of A? We are mid 20's and enjoy the busier side of things rather than lounging around in the Sun all day. Budget is around £2.5k each

Thanks in advance :)

Get your ESTA sorted first mate if you haven't already and make sure it's the official government website, costs about 10 dollars. https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/

For New York I would recommend getting a city pass to see the attractions, saved me and girl a lot of cash back in April when we went and gave us loads to do, lovely city to just walk around. We stayed airbnb in Harlem and walked everywhere.

what are you doing in Orlando for all that time, unless you plan on visiting all the parks I wouldn't spend anywhere near that much time there.

I don't see why you need a travel agent? It isn't a complex trip or to an exotic location perhaps warranting specialist knowledge.

Why not go online and book your three flights and two hotels yourself?

Skyscanner for flights, booking.com for hotels, use Uber and airport taxi's for transfers. Google Esta application form and do those. All dead easy.

This is pretty much the vacation we are doing this year.

5 weeks in Orlando
1 week in NYC
2 days in Philadelphia

Didn't use an agent and booked it all ourselves.

Once flights, accommodation, rental car and park entry has been taken care of ( don't underestimate park entry, it's expensive) you will probably find that you might need to up your budget.

We are a 'theme park' family so Orlando is ideal for us.
