Should i get bus or train to London from Glasgow? :D

flight is 2135 hrs same day

i can get a bus for £9 at 0820hrs arrives at 1730 hrs at London(victoria)

but it is 9 hours of uncomfortable travel.

OR

Train 1 at Glasgow 1140hrs arrive at 1612hrs £40 and plenty of time to get to Heathrow for flight.

Train 2 however leaves Glasgow at 1440 arrives at 1913 hrs London Euston for £30 :D Can i still make it to Heathrow in time you reckon?

Both trains only 4 ish hrs travel time.

Is the £31 you save worth more to you than the 5 hours you lose?

The answer is Train 1.

Is there a way to get a cheaper ticket you reckon? I'm travelling on 8th may

hrmm had a bit of a look re trains.

cheaper to go via Glasgow than it is via Carlisle, Edinburgh or Newcastle even.

not a chance lolz, had the choice to fly from sharm to cairo in 1 hr or overnight coach journey, i'll just grab my passport...
Funnily enough, I had that very same choice and made the very same selection. What was surprising was how few of those on the trip had also chosen to fly.

You can fly glasgow > stanstead on 8th May 17:45 – 19:05 for £23 on Ryanair.
Probably costs more than your train fare to get from STN to LHR though.

I don't care how cheap that bus is, I'd rather be dragged there by my testicles via the roughest roads in the country.

Train 2 isn't an option. Euston to Heathrow is a one hour journey at the very best of times unless you are prepared to pay for the Heathrow Express from Paddington, which would more than wipe out the £10 saving over taking train 1. If the train to London is delayed at all, you'll miss the plane.
